How does the death of a mother affect you?

The pain is crippling, and it hits you at random moments. One minute you might be fine, and the next minute you are curled up in a ball on your bedroom floor in inconceivable pain. If you have lost your mother, then you’re probably sitting there nodding your head in agreement. “The death of a mother is the first sorrow wept without her.”

Can a dying person see their dead mother?

The dying are often visited by their dead mothers. Their hands often reach up toward a force that can’t be seen. Family members and friends of the dying can’t see their visions or participate in conversations. Visions often occur hours to weeks before they die.

How long has it been since I saw my mother?

Somehow I’ve made it 365 days without hearing her voice, (besides the occasional listen to saved Skype messages) or really seen her smiling, freckled, bright blue eyed face. Grief is a black hole, endless and vast. Sucking you dry of any emotional reserve you might think you have.

Why do I keep having dreams about my dead mother?

All of these could make you have this dream. Another simple reason for dreaming about your dead mother is that you miss her. You might be remembering the good and bad memories you made together and this might just make you want more of the memories.

How did my Mum die on her own?

My mum died four years ago from cancer. The end came quite quickly, we all went on holiday in June healthy and happy and by 6th Nov same year she was dead. The one thing she said to my dad (unbeknownst to me) was to not let her die alone. She went into hospital Wednesday pm on the 5th Nov as the pain had become unmanageable.
