My mortgage was fine until CENLAR had the nerve to raise our payments because of the crappy escrow increase. There’s not much of anything in Northern Collin County for them to raise our mortgage up like that. They have lost my respect, trust and business.

July’s Payment was sent in with a third extra for one third of the missing May Payment. This was accepted by CENLAR. We did the same for the August Payment. CENLAR again accepted this payment and I contacted them to verify receipt of the paperwork. CENLAR Key Puncher stated the Underwiters had it for concideration.

THEY SENT OUT A DELINQUENT LETTER TO ME EVEN THOUGH I PAY ON TIME AND THEY HAVE CASHED ALL OF MY CHECKS THAT WERE SENT TO THEM BEFORE THE PAYMENT IS DUE. THEN, THEY MAILED ME 2 CHECKS AND NOW SAY THEY RECEIVED MY MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THEM???
Why is my renters insurance covered by cenlar?
Cenlar continues to force place my insurance stating that the insurance coverage is either too much because they are looking at the declaration page from my homeowners association that covers the entire neighborhood or they are looking at the renters insurance which only covers the walls in.

Unless you like incompetence, hassles and headaches STAY AWAY FROM CENLAR MORTGAGE COMPANY!! There are so many complaints, they are rude, and liar to you. I was placed in the Forbearance Program after the hurricane in September of 2017 with a promise that they do not ask for repayment of all three months at once.

Why did cenlar not pay my school tax?
Cenlar sold my FHA loan this year in February and did not pay my school tax for 2017 before the sale of the loan. They paid them the two years prior but all the sudden didn’t pay them out of an escrow I had been paying into. Since I now have a new mortgage company I was stuck with the tax that was over $4,000 by the time late fees were tacked on.
Is there a penalty for closing a cenlar account?
It took 3 calls, 3 forms and until December for them to finally receive the form only to find out I owe money in order to close my account, apparently a pre- payment penalty fee. I sold the house in July and a week before Christmas I’m finding out that I owe $1000.00 in order to close the account.
