Is there a way to check when a Bailey caravan was built by using the Vin number without ringing the Factory. We have placed a deposit on a New van this morning and the dealer advised that the Van was built in Feb 16, however I would like to confirm this myself

I am in Spain and on my SIL’s land is a 4 berth caravan that was bought new in the UK in 2009. The owner had a stroke recently and was rushed back to tbe UK, leaving the van behind. On checking inside the van, the so-called 2009 van has documents dating a build of 2007.

But rolled off the production line 30th November 2015 confirmed by certificate of conformity, gas and electrical certificates, and a signed factory check sheet found in a bed locker. Probably why Bailey Parts indicates 2015 against the VIN number in the earlier post.
Are there any problems with the Bailey Van?
Ian. There are a number of faults with Bailey ‘vans, though as a ‘vanner of approaching 20 years, I have never been happier with any company as I am with them. For the first time we have a fault free ‘van, as delivered. We had a Ranger, which had the odd problem though it was sorted without any drama, mind this did include a new front panel!
